MEET OUR EXECUTIVE TEAM
Stuart Shaw serves as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bonner Carrington, a vertically integrated, privately owned and operated commercial real estate development, construction and property management company. His accountabilities include leading the vision, culture and direction of the organization while mentoring and leading the next generation of executive leaders throughout the enterprise.
Stuart has an extensive background of forty years in commercial real estate and is the visionary, creator and original developer behind Austin’s Downtown Warehouse District and Second Street Retail District. In 2000, Mr. Shaw envisioned a plan to develop, own, and operate a portfolio of multifamily apartment home communities in urban areas of Texas. Today, the Bonner Carrington portfolio encompasses over 4,000 apartment homes in twenty separate branded Cypress, Mariposa and Anthem communities located in urban areas across the State of Texas.
Stuart resides in Austin, attends Austin Ridge Bible Church, enjoys his three adult children and two grandsons, upland bird hunting, fly fishing, serving our team, and giving back to the community. Stuart attended the University of Texas for two years and is both a University of Texas Longhorn and University of Colorado Boulder Buffs fan.
DeWitt has over 25 years of Finance and Accounting experience, including Private Equity, Commercial Real Estate, Corporate Finance, Oil and Gas, and Big 4 Accounting.
DeWitt graduated with an Accounting Degree from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Colorado, and is licensed as a CPA in the state of Texas.
Casey Bump joined Bonner Carrington in October of 2000 where he launched his career in the real estate development, construction and property management field. In 2013, Casey was named President after holding several positions within the organization over his more than twenty years of dedicated service where he contributed to the growth and value accretion of the company, and the realization of the company’s vision.
Casey played significant roles in the development, construction and management of the entire Bonner Carrington portfolio. In 2018 he became a minority owner and today Casey serves as President of Bonner Carrington Development, reporting directly to the CEO and Founder, Stuart Shaw.
Casey graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Economics and is an active member of the UT alumni. Casey lives with his wife and son in Austin.
Bob Allbright serves as the Executive Vice President of Bonner Carrington Investor Relations. Bob brings experience as a Partner at JMJ Associates, a leading global strategic management consulting firm. Bob was responsible for increasing JMJ’s impact through his interactions with JMJ clients. Bob served on JMJ’s global leadership team as the Global Lead Partner for JMJ’s Sales Excellence Team, and Lead Partner for JMJ’s work in Latin America. For eight years, Bob represented JMJ as a member of the Board of Advisors of the Construction Industry Institute and served as Cochair of CII’s Membership Committee.
Additionally, Bob worked for an international real estate development company with responsibility for acquisition, development, leasing and disposition of commercial real estate properties across the United States. Bob was also part of the development team that worked with the City of Austin to create the dynamic six block Second Street Retail District and Downtown Warehouse District.
Bob earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York and served as an officer in the United States Army. He completed graduate studies in Business at the University of Oklahoma. Bob and his wife Cailtin reside in Austin, Texas and have seven children, 21 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one dog.
Matt Mitchell serves as Vice President of Construction Operations. Matt hails from Louisville, KY and earned his BS in Architectural Design and Construction Management from Western Kentucky University. He brings over 20 years of diverse construction project management experience from all across the US in the commercial, K through 12, industrial and multifamily sectors.
Matt moved to Austin in 2014, and married his wife, an Austin native, in 2017. Before coming to Bonner Carrington Construction, he headed the Central Texas office of the nation’s leading student housing developer, constructing high rise student housing developments here on UT’s campus.
Outside of his Bonner Carrington life, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, either traveling or at their home in Cedar Park. In his rare free time, Matt is DIYing their home remodel projects and loves restoring his two vintage automobiles.
As Bonner Carrington’s Vice President of Property Management, Dally Ward adds over 10 years of real estate management experience to our Executive Team. Originally from Cliff, New Mexico, Dally attended New Mexico State University before traveling around the US. As a hard working problem solver, he has held positions ranging from property and regional manager to leadership roles such as Vice President of Operations.
Dally and his family have lived in Texas since 2020. Prior to Bonner Carrington, in his last role as Vice President of Operations for Capstone Real Estate Services, one of the largest third party management firms in the nation, he oversaw and guided the Operations team to ensure efficient processes were in place.
When he’s not working, Dally spends time with his wife, Michelle, and kids Peyton, Harper, and Cursten, along with playing with his grandson Kase and the family dog Molly. He also enjoys fishing, a round of golf, and cornhole, as well as traveling to the beach in their RV.
Lisa serves as the trusted General Counsel for all of Bonner Carrington’s services. She provides practical business and legal solutions that lead to developing and implementing solid policy and compliance in an ever-changing regulatory environment.
Prior to joining Bonner Carrington, Lisa served as chief regulatory, employment and compliance counsel at a major healthcare system and teaching hospital, in healthcare management systems, in the nation’s largest group purchasing organization, and as counsel to organizations providing child protective and foster services across the country. She also served for a decade as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas and as Deputy District Attorney in Birmingham, Alabama.
Lisa graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelors of Science and then graduated from Samford University with her JD. Lisa is dedicated to educating future generations and gives back to her community and to important causes. In addition to her legal work, Lisa serves on the board of directors of a marine-environmental research institute, and other organizations dedicated to empowering homeless families and individuals toward self-sufficiency, self-advocacy, and holistic recovery.
OUR HISTORY
In 1988,
Stuart Shaw set out to create apartment home communities that held serving people at their core. Over the years, we have formed our Development, Property Management, and Construction teams to have a hands on approach to all of our properties. Our portfolio has grown to 4,000 apartment units, and we intend to continue growing to over 10,000 units by 2025. We pride ourselves in maintaining a collection of multifamily properties designed to reflect a different kind of development.
1988
Bonner Carrington is born.
1995
Stuart Shaw and partners buy key blocks in Downtown Austin, Texas, becoming the third largest landowners in the downtown area.
1998
Stuart Shaw Family Partnership LP is formed.
2000
The mixed use Downtown Warehouse district and Second Street Retail District are born.
2002
First Cypress Creek Apartment Homes opens at Lakeline Boulevard, Georgetown, Texas.
2004
First Mariposa Apartment Homes opens at Hunter Road, San Marcos, Texas.
2005
Apartment Life Ministries Partnership begins.
2007
Bonner Carrington Construction LLC is formed.
2010
15 years of company growth with 5 Mariposas and 5 Cypress Creeks, plus The Ranch.
2014
Bonner Carrington Property Management begins.
2019
First market rate development opens with Anthem Apartment Homes, Austin, Texas.
2020
25 years of company growth with 13 Mariposas and 10 Cypress Creeks, plus The Ranch, with expansion to market rate ownership and management.
